Beethoven recordings with Vadym Kholodenko

Alena Baeva’s latest album on Alpha Classics, Beethoven Violin Sonatas 5, 9 & 3, together with Vadym Kholodenko, was one of Gramophone Magazine’s Editor’s Choice in the March 2026 issue, and received 5 ‘Diapasons’ from Diapason Magazine. The Spanish magazine Scherzo concluded that “Few interpretations are as fiery as that of Baeva and Kholodenko – impetuous and captivating (…) the strong personalities of Baeva and Kholodenko never fully soften. It is an example of the coherence we should always expect from artists.”
In April 2026, Alena and Vadym dove back into the studio for the second Beethoven album, due to be released in 2027.
