Alena Baeva returns to the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, this time performing the Stravinsky Violin Concerto under Maestro Paavo Järvi. 

On 14 & 15 March 2024, Alena Baeva returns to the Orquesta Sinfónica de la RTVE in Madrid, performing the Stravinsky Violin Concerto with conductor Christoph König.

On 7 & 10 March 2024, Alena Baeva performs the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor with Orchestre de Cannes, conducted by Pavel Baleff.

Alena Baeva appears in recital with Vadym Kholodenko in Florence (24 February 2024) and Paris (27 February 2024), presenting the programme from her new recording, ‘Fantasy’.

February 2024 sees the release of the first disc of Alena Baeva’s exclusive recording contract with the Alpha Classics label.

On 4 March 2023, Alena makes her debut with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice. She reunites on stage with conductor Lionel Bringuier, to perform the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.

Alena Baeva makes her debut at the Wigmore Hall on 19 February 2023, performing a programme of Beethoven, Silvestrov, and Schubert with sonata partner Vadym Kholodenko.

Alena Baeva returns to the Basque National Orchestra to tour Shostakovich’s Second Violin Concerto, conducted by Dinis Sousa. Tour dates include: San Sebastian (3 & 6 February), Pamplona (7 February), Bilbao (8 February), and Vitoria (9 February).

On 9 August 2022, Alena Baeva reunites with pianist Vadym Kholodenko on stage in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The duo perform works by Schubert, Mendelssohn, Lutosławski, and Fauré.

On 27 May 2022, Alena Baeva debuts with the Real Filharmonia de Galicia and Paul Daniel, performing Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in Avila, Spain.

Alena Baeva makes a welcome return to the NHK Symphony Orchestra, this time performing Schumann Violin Concerto under the baton of Marek Janowski, with two concerts on 14 & 15 May at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre.

This week Alena Baeva steps in for Janine Jansen, for a major European tour with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen & Paavo Järvi. This tour is Alena’s debut with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie, and visits some of Europe’s finest concert halls.  She plays the Brahms Violin Concerto.

Alena Baeva returns to the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker to perform Karłowicz Violin Concerto with Mihkel Kütson for three concerts this week: 5 & 8 April in Krefeld and 7 April in Mönchengladbach.

On 24 & 25 March 2022, Alena Baeva & Hugh Wolff make their debut with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León. Hugh conducts a programme of Berlioz and Brahms, with Alena joining for Bartok Violin Concerto No.2

Alena Baeva travels to the Netherlands for a six concert tour with the Phion Orchestra and conductor Alpesh Chauhan to perform Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. The first concert will take place in Apeldoorn on 11 March, followed by performances in Zwolle, Doetinchem, Enschede, Arnhem and Nijmegen.

On 3 & 5 March 2022, Alena Baeva makes her debut with Orquesta Sinfónica de Múrcia, performing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 conducted by Michal Nesterowicz.

On 10 & 11 February 2022, Alena Baeva returns to the Janacek Philharmonic to perform Sibelius Violin Concerto under the baton of Lionel Bringuier.

Our very own Alena Baeva and Hugh Wolff team up this coming week with Vienna’s Tonkünstler Orchester. Hugh conducts an engaging programme of Thordvaldsdóttir (Metacosmos) and Sibelius (Symphony No.1), with Alena joining for the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto.

Alena Baeva makes her debut with the Orchestra della Toscana, performing three concerts of the Schumann Violin Concerto, conducted by Kazushi Ono, in Florence and the surrounding area on 11, 12 & 14 January 2022.

On 24 April 2021 Alena Baeva returns to PhilZuid, working once again with Maestro Dmitri Liss in concert in Maastricht. She will perform Prokofiev Violin Concerto No.1.

On 25 February 2021, Alena Baeva makes her debut with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, conducted by Maestro Charles Dutoit. Alena performs Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.5 in the concert in Lugano, which will be streamed to watch online.

On Saturday 16 January 2021, ONDIF will broadcast a performance of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, performed by Alena and conducted by Tito Muñoz, on the orchestra’s Facebook and YouTube channels.  Don’t forget to tune in!

2021 kicks off with a visit to France for Alena Baeva, who returns to ONDIF to perform the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in five concerts 9-17 January, including at the Philharmonie de Paris (16 January). This also marks Alena’s debut with conductor Tito Muñoz, Music Director of Arizona’s Phoenix Symphony Orchestra.

On 23 December 2020, Alena Baeva will perform the Dvorak Violin Concerto with Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and Duncan Ward in Moscow, Russia.

On 5 December 2020, Alena Baeva performs with NFM Filharmonia Wrocławska, conducted by Christian Danowicz. She performs the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor (original 1844 version), in Wrocław, Poland.

On 15 & 16 November 2020, Alena Baeva returns to the Russian State Symphony Orchestra 'Evgeny Svetlanov', to perform two concerts in Moscow. She performs the R. Strauss Violin Concerto Op.8 with Chief Conductor Vladimir Jurowski, with whom she enjoys a long-standing musical partnership on stage.

On 29 October 2020, Alena Baeva performs the Schumann Violin Concerto in Skopje, Macedonia, with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra & Conrad van Alphen.

On 8 & 9 October 2020, Alena Baeva makes her debut with the Orchestre National d'Auvergne and Music Director Roberto Forés-Veses.  She performs the Beethoven Violin Concerto in two concerts in Clermont-Ferrand, and a third chamber concert with musicians of the orchestra on 10 October 2020.

On 23 September 2020, Alena Baeva performs a programme of string trios with Frederic d’Oria Nicholas (piano) and Yan Levionnois (cello) at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

On 18 August 2020 Alena Baeva returns to the ‘Chopin & His Europe’ festival, Warsaw.

On 23 July 2020, Alena Baeva makes her debut at the Pärnu Music Festival, Estonia.  For this concert, she reunites with Paavo Järvi for a continuation of their work together on the R. Strauss Violin Concerto, debuted previously under Maestro Järvi’s baton with the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo. 

On 2 July 2020, Alena Baeva will be one of the first artists to bring live music back for an in-house audience following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Knight Classical are excited to announce the release of Alena Baeva’s latest recording via Melodiya Records, featuring Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor (original 1844 version), and Schumann’s Violin Concerto in D minor.

Alena Baeva was due to tour Ireland with Katia Skanavi from 24th April – 3rd May. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, the tour has been postponed until November 2021.

In March 2020, Alena Baeva makes her debut with the Tonkünstler Orchester, conducted by Michał Nesterowicz.

On 17 February 2020, Alena Baeva makes her debut at the Philharmonie im Gasteig, Munich, with the Munich Symphony Orchestra conducted by Elias Grandy. She will perform virtuosic works for violin and orchestra, including Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy and Ravel’s Tzigane, as part of München Musik’s series.

On 14 & 15 February, Alena Baeva makes her debut with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la RTVE Madrid, conducted by Pablo González.  She will perform the Britten Violin Concerto in two concerts at the Teatro Monumental, Madrid.

Performing Brahms’ Violin Concerto, Alena Baeva joins forces with Robert Trevino and Malmö Symfoniorkester. The first concert will take place in Turin at Auditorium Giovanni Agnelli on 4 February, followed by a performance in Udine’s Teatro Nuovo Giovanni on 5 February.

Alena Baeva makes her highly anticipated debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai this week, with concerts on December 5 and 6 in Turin, Italy.

Alena Baeva will perform two concerts with the Orchestre National de Metz this week, in the Arsenal Concert Hall (Metz, Nov 22) and Congresshalle Saarbrücken (Saarbrücken, Nov 24).

Following her fabulous debut with the ONPL in 2018, Alena Baeva will make a welcome return to France with five performances of Beethoven and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concertos in Angers, Nantes and Le Mans, between 26 September and 2 October 2019.

With an ever increasing presence on the Polish concert and recording scene, Alena Baeva will be making her long awaited debut with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Jacek Kaspszyk. Her performance of Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No 2 will take place at the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall on 2 and 3 March 2019.

Making her long awaited debut with the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Alena Baeva will be performing Richard Strauss’ Violin Concerto conducted by Paavo Järvi. The performances will take place on 9 and 10 February at the NHK Hall, Tokyo, and will be broadcast live on NHK-FM.

Following her magnificent performances in 2017, Alena Baeva returns to Tel Aviv to perform Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto (arranged for string nonet) with the Israel Camerata, at the Haifa Auditorium on 12 January, and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art on 13 January.

Alena Baeva‘s long awaited debut with the London Philharmonic Orchestra will take place on 5 December at the Royal Festival Hall.  This performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto will be Ms Baeva’s second collaboration with maestro Vladimir Jurowski, following their acclaimed collaboration in Moscow in 2016.  You can also listen to her BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’ interview and performance here.

Alena Baeva will make her debut with the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra on 23 November at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. Her performance of the mighty Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto will be conducted by Artistic Director Zoi Tsokanou.

Sala Verdi will once again see Alena Baeva’s return to Milan on 14 November. She will be joined by Vadym Kholodenko to perform works by Debussy, Ravel, Schubert and Schumann. Her travels continues to Vilnius where she will once again join forces with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and maestro Olari Elts to perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto at the Congress Concert Hall on 16 November.

The world renowned Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Violin Competition will see Alena Baeva join the esteemed jury, which also include Renaud Capuçon and Maxim Vengerov amongst others. The recital final will be held on 7 November and the concerto finals on 9 & 10 November at the Auditorium de Radio France, Paris.

Alena Baeva makes a welcome return to philharmonie zuidnederland, following her spellbinding debut in 2017. Her performance of Szymanowski’s Violin Concerto No 1, under the baton of Dmitri Liss, will see them visit Maastricht’s Theater aan het Vrijthof on 26 October, Eindhoven’s Muziekgebouw Frits Philips on 27 October and Aachen’s Eurogress on 28 October.

Alena Baeva will be making her debut with the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Music Director Cem Mansur. Joining the orchestra on their European tour, Alena will be performing Bernstein’s Serenade in Istanbul (4 September), Prague (10 September), Vienna (13 September) and Budapest (16 September).

Alena will make her long awaited debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra during her participation at the 14th Chopin and his Europe International Festival in Warsaw. Alena will make her long awaited debut at the acclaimed PyeongChang Music Festival situated on the grounds of the Alpensia Resort. She will perform in two recitals on 3 August playing works by Ravel, Martinu and Mendelssohn’s Octet (arranged for String Quartet and piano) with Julian Steckel, Yoon-Jee Kim and piano duo Yoo & Kim.

Making a welcome return to the idyllic Macedonian town of Ohrid, Alena will be joined by pianist Vadym Kholodenko for a recital at the Ohrid Festival. Performing in The Church of Saint Sophia on 20 July, the programme will include Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No 3, Debussy’s Violin Sonata in G minor and Paderewski’s Violin Sonata, Op 13.

Alena will make her Danish recital debut at the Frederiksværk Festival on 5 July with Julien Libeer. The programme will include Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No 4, Ravel’s Violin Sonata No 2 and Schubert’s Sonatine.

Alena Baeva will be on tour with Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal and conductor Julia Jones, performing the mighty Brahms Double concerto with Anastasia Kobekina. The tour will begin in Wuppertal with performances on 13 & 14 May at the Stadtthalle, followed by Milan’s Sala Verdi on 16 May and the Stadthofsaal in Uster on 17 May. The programme will also include Mendelssohn’s ‘Scottish’ Symphony.

Alena Baeva has been re-invited by La Folle Journée de Nantes to take part in the festivals’ international series in Tokyo. Alena’s first appearance on 3 May will take place at the Metropolitan Theatre (in collaboration with Claire Désert), performing Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata No.2, Rachmaninov’s ‘Romance’ and Stravinsky’s Pas de Deux. On 4 May Alena will join the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra and maestro Kasper Zehnder to perform Korngold’s Violin Concerto at the International Forum Hall.

Performing in no fewer than seven concerts over a two week period, Alena Baeva will begin her own ‘Tour de France’ with the Orchestre national des Pays de la Loire, performing Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 in Nantes (3 & 4 April) and Angers (5 & 8 April) with Maestro Josep Pons. Her travels will then take her to Northern France where she will be performing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 in Lille (12 & 13 April) and Gravelines (14 April) with the Orchestre national de Lille and Maestro Jean-Claude Casadesus.

Following her acclaimed debut at the La Folle Journée Festival in 2017, Alena Baeva returns to Nantes on 2 February to perform Korngold’s Violin Concerto with the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dmitry Liss.  Alena will also collaborate with pianist Vadym Kholodenko for a recital performance on 3 February of Korngold’s Violin Sonata and Bloch’s ‘Three Pictures of Chassidic Life’.  Joining the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Alena will perform Brahms’ Double Concerto with Julian Steckel conducted by Boian Videnoff.  Performances are on 8 & 9 February at the Slovak Philharmonic Hall, Bratislava.

On 16 December 2017, Alena Baeva debuts with the Orchestre National d’Île de France on tour in Cachan, France. Stepping in at the last moment for Stefan Jackiw, Alena performs the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, conducted by Julien Leroy.

Alena will make her debut with the American Symphony Orchestra at New York’s Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on 7 December 2017 with Bacewicz’s Violin Concerto No 7 conducted by the orchestra’s Music Director Leon Botstein.

Alena Baeva will take part in the Polish edition of the international La Folle Journée Festival in Warsaw performing with Orkiestra Sinfonia Varsovia and Eiji Oue. Alena will perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Saint-Saens Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.

Performing the ever popular Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, Alena Baeva will make a welcome return to Het Concergebouw on 3 September with the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alexandre Bloch.

Alena Baeva will perform at the 65th Les Musicales Festival in Colmar, France, an eight-day festival dedicated to chamber music.
